Meeting Andrei Tarkovsky: "Cinema Is A Mosaic Made Of Time" (Engl. Subs)

Great encounter in Rome with filmmaker Andrei Tarkovsky where he develops some of his major ideas on artistic creation and in particular the importance of the temporal dimension in his conception of cinema. Tarkovsky also comments excerpts from film directors that inspired him like Kurosawa, Buñuel, Antonioni ...(Rome, end of 1982). From Donatella Baglivo ("Il cinema è un mosaico fatto di tempo", 1984). The "prologue" at the beginning is a quote from Tarkovsky's Film "Andrei Rublev" (Part 3: "The Passion According to Andrei").
