Vale a pena?... Why did I choose a Bachelor's degree in Physics instead of Mathematics? This was one of the questions I received most often since entering USP (University of São Paulo). In this video, I explain why I was torn between the two courses, since I've always really liked Mathematics. However, Physics ended up making more sense to me for a reason that goes beyond calculations: its profound relationship with Philosophy. I believe that Physics is one of the areas that brings us closest to the great questions of humanity, using logic, mathematics, and critical thinking to understand nature and the universe. It was this connection between Physics, Mathematics, and Philosophy that weighed heavily in my decision. If you are undecided between studying Physics or Mathematics, intend to pursue a Bachelor's degree, or want to study at USP, this video can help you make your choice. 📚 In this video you will find: • Why I chose Physics instead of Mathematics • The relationship between Physics and Philosophy • My experience choosing my undergraduate degree • Tips for those undecided about which course to pursue 🏛️ What it's like to study at USP: The University of São Paulo (USP) is considered the largest public university in Brazil and one of the best in Latin America. In this vlog, I talk about my first day of class at USP and show a little of the experience of studying at the Physics Institute of the University of São Paulo, a reference in teaching and research in physics. Many students dream of entering USP through the entrance exam of the University Foundation for Entrance Exams (FUVEST) or through the ENEM, and here I share a little of the real routine of a student inside the university. 🎒 First day of class at USP: The first day of class at the University of São Paulo is always a memorable moment. In this video, I share my first impressions of the Physics Institute at the University of São Paulo, officially beginning my undergraduate degree in physics. I talk about expectations, university routine, academic environment, and what it's like to study at one of the most prestigious institutions in Brazil. 🦉Estratégia Militares is one of the leading platforms for preparing for entrance exams to the Armed Forces and Military Schools (ESA, EsPCEx, AFA, EFOMM, CN, etc.). The course is online and offers various resources that help students organize themselves and learn more efficiently. One of the highlights is the Question Bank, which brings together thousands of exercises from previous exams, all separated by exam, subject, and topic. This allows students to practice in a targeted way, identify their weaknesses, and track their performance over time. ► Student Routine Vlog ► Teacher Routine ► University Student Routine ► First Day of Class at USP ► What it's Like to Study at USP ► USP Physics Institute ► Physics Degree ► University Life ► Study Routine ► USP Physics Degree ► University Student Vlog ► Productive Student Routine 👉🏻How the Fuvest Exam is: Fuvest is the entrance exam that selects most students for USP (University of São Paulo). The exam is considered one of the most demanding in Brazil and takes place in two phases: 📍 First Phase FUVEST: 90 multiple-choice questions. Content: Portuguese, Mathematics, History, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English + interdisciplinary questions. Duration: 5 hours. It is eliminatory: only the best-placed students go to the second phase. 📍 Second Phase FUVEST: Divided into two days of written exams: Day 1: 10 Portuguese questions + Essay. Day 2: 12 questions from two to four specific subjects, according to the chosen course (example: for Medicine, they cover Biology, Chemistry and Physics; for Law, History, Geography and Mathematics). 📍 Specific FUVEST Skills: Some courses (such as Visual Arts, Music, Architecture and Design) also require practical exams in addition to the two phases. 📚 Balancing work, college and content creation isn't about organization and prioritization. In my daily life as a Physics teacher, USP student and content creator, it's clear that without a well-structured routine, it's simply impossible to handle everything. 00:00 - Why did I choose Physics as my major? 00:30 - Why didn't I choose Mathematics? 03:02 - Philosophy in Physics #usp #fuvest #college
