Warsaw Ghetto: A maze of memories • FRANCE 24 English
In 1943, the Warsaw Ghetto uprising took place. It was a courageous act of resistance against the Nazis by several hundred Jewish fighters. Since 1940, the Jewish population of the Polish capital – approximately 400,000 people – had been confined by the Nazi occupiers to a small neighbourhood in the center of the city. Many died as a result of starvation and diseases there. Others were sent to the Treblinka death camp. https://f24.my/9YkL.y 🔔 Subscribe to France 24 now: https://f24.my/YTen 🔴 LIVE - Watch FRANCE 24 English 24/7 here: https://f24.my/YTliveEN 🌍 Read the latest International News and Top Stories: https://www.france24.com/en/ Like us on Facebook: https://f24.my/FBen Follow us on Twitter: https://f24.my/TWen Discover the news in pictures on Instagram: https://f24.my/IGen Get the latest top stories on Telegram: https://f24.my/TGen
