All About Hamlet: Act 3, scene 3
Welcome back to my series All About Hamlet. Today, I'm talking about Act 3, scene 3 - the turning point of the whole story! The scene is pretty simple, but there's a lot of stuff worth talking about, including: Polonius projecting his "good" ideas onto the king Philosophical questions like the purpose of mercy comparing movie versions Hamlet's dark side (as though we haven't already seen that...) Irony! In the video I say the end of the scene is ironic because it's the opposite of what's expected, but really there's a whole lot of dramatic irony too. I hope you enjoy. This scene is amazing. Shakespeare is a genius. It's so cliche, but he shows off some of that here. If you like this video, don't forget to subscribe to my channel! :) ____________________ Want to connect?
