Ramp Romeo Tango by Thilo and his Dad

In diesem Fundstück geht es mal nicht in die Luft. Also bitte nicht enttäuscht sein, wenn Ihr hier keine Cockpitluft schnuppern könnt. Dafür aber ein kleiner Einblick in die Arbeit als Ramp Agent (das ist nichts Schlimmes und hat mit der NSA, oder dem KGB nichts zu tun). Es muss ende 1990 gewesen sein, als ich nach rund 2 Jahren bei der LTU in die Abteilung Movement Control / Dispatch wechselte. In Vorahnung, dass ich nun weniger draußen an den Fliegern sein werde, bat ich meinen Vater darum mich am letzten Tag auf Rampe zu filmen. Er hatte vorher noch nie eine Videokamera in der Hand. Es war meine erste Sony V8. Es ist also keine Sendequalität, berührt mich heute nur, weil viele von damals, wie auch mein Vater leider nicht mehr unter uns sind. Gerade für ältere LTU Kollegen und Kolleginnen eine wirkliche Rarität. This time I won´t take you into the air but after 30 years I found footage from 1990 edited just today. After two years working as ramp agent at LTU Operations I changed from OPS into “Movement Control”. On my last day on ramp at Düsseldorf airport I asked my father to join me with my first video camera which was a Sony V8 to take some shots. My dad never had a video cam in his hands before. For me and all former LTU colleagues this is a very special memory because unfortunately my father and many others in this little movie are no longer among us. But if you like LTU Intl.
