平成２１年　ダイハツ・ムーヴ　水漏れ修理ラジエーター交換

A 2009 Daihatsu Move came in for a water leak repair. Upon inspection, it was found to be the usual leak from the radiator's seam due to age-related deterioration. The radiator will need to be replaced. I think the car manufacturer should reconsider and design it differently. The car was jacked up and placed on jack stands. The radiator drain bolt was removed and the coolant was drained from the bottom. Several retaining clips were missing from the lower and upper parts of the front bumper. Was something repaired on the front? The front bumper was removed. The front license plate was removed, and the retaining clips here were also missing. The retaining clips on the front of the inner fender cover were removed. The fog lamp connector was disconnected and the front bumper retaining clips were removed. The upper left and right clips were tightly fitted. After carefully removing them, the front bumper was removed. The air cleaner duct was removed and set aside. The radiator upper hose was removed and the radiator sub-tank was removed. The mounting bolts for the radiator sub-tank were tightly fastened, causing the mounting bracket to move, so I carefully removed them to avoid breaking them. I cleaned the radiator sub-tank. The radiator sub-tank is quite small. I removed the cushion on the front of the condenser. The cushion was in tatters; I think most vehicles that have had their radiators replaced don't have it. I disconnected the electric fan connector, removed the radiator lower hose, and removed the AT oil hose. I inserted the oil stop bolt into the AT oil hose. I removed the upper support. The left headlight was hiding the mounting bolt, so I removed the mounting bolt on the left headlight to allow it to move. I removed the hood catch and the right hood stop rubber. The upper support is now removed. I removed the mounting bolts for the AC condenser from the radiator and pulled out the AC condenser. I carefully pulled the radiator upwards while maneuvering it. The radiator is now removed. I cleaned the condenser and the vehicle body. Remove the radiator lower hose and electric fan from the removed radiator. The electric fan is a snap-in type, so clean it after removing it. Order a new aftermarket radiator. The new aftermarket radiator has arrived, so install it. First, check the parts attached to the radiator. Install the electric fan, radiator lower hose, and AT oil hose. Successfully insert the radiator into the vehicle body, install the condenser, AT oil hose, radiator hose, electric fan coupler, and radiator sub-tank. Install the upper support and headlights. Install the hood catch and hood rubber. Set the radiator air bleeder and add 2L of coolant. Turn the heater on full blast and the hot setting to maximum, start the engine, and wait. The radiator air bleeding process is complete, and coolant leak check is OK. Install the front bumper. Snap the left and right sides in. Install the fog lamp wiring coupler and replace the retaining clips with new ones. After installing the inner fender cover, jack up the car and remove the jack stands. Check that the headlights and fog lights are working, check for coolant leaks again, and then go for a test run. After the test run and returning, check for coolant leaks one more time, and you're done.
