Road to Ultimate Mono: why medium level true mono cartridge when you have an ultimate stereo?

Ultimate Mono playback is not as simple as a dedicated high performer, yet medium level mono cartridge. True mono cartridge brings practicality: gives you a good experience even with records in bad condition, and / or poor pressing. Yet, when you have a very high level stereo cartridge, it has a much lower inherent noise floor than a medium level cartridge, and will dig much more LOWER LEVEL information out of the grooves. However, when record is in bad shape, or there's a vertical misalignment, the stereo cartridge will not work well. Carts mentioned: Audio Technica AT-F7 stereo, AT33MONO Benz MC3 stereo
