#DowntownSmiles: Milwaukee Muslims Honor #ChapelHillShooting Victims

In association with Ma'ruf: a beautiful organization here in Milwaukee. "Ma'ruf is a Muslim social-action organization committed to the enhancement of human well-being amongst Milwaukee's disenfranchised individuals and families. Ma'ruf works to improve the social, economic, and educational situation of Milwaukee by providing social services and community outreach initiatives. Members of Ma'ruf represent the full diversity of Milwaukee's Muslim community. Our goal is unity through faith and action." In memory of Deah Barakat, Yusor Abu-Salha and Razan Abu-Salha, the three lives that were lost on February 20, 2015. Ma'ruf, and the Milwaukee Muslim community, honored their lives by doing acts of service, charity and selflessness, in the same manner that they lived their lives. Deah posted on Facebook an event in which he and other Muslims handed dental supplies to the homeless community of North Carolina. We too emulated his actions, and followed in his footsteps in service and love for our community.
