I asked a friendly gentleman from Australia to take the IELTS Speaking test with me. I explained the test format, the assessment criteria, and gave him instructions for each part of the test. Like many other native speakers, he didn’t use fancy vocabulary or complex grammar structures. Instead, he focused on the content and made his answers personal and authentic.
