La Real Banda de Gaitas de Ourense debuta en Bogotá con un emotivo encuentro de culturas

Bogotá, Sep 23 (EFE) – The Celtic bagpipes of Galicia were heard for the first time in the heart of Bogotá this Tuesday, when the Royal Bagpipe Band of the Ourense Provincial Council (Spain) made its debut at the BOG25 International Biennial of Art and City, which began last Saturday. With 32 musicians on stage, the group led by Xosé Lois Foxo performed a repertoire that ranged from Celtic to Colombian, with traditional Galician pieces such as 'Muiñeira de Poio' and adaptations of local classics like 'La pollera colorá', which Foxo himself described in a statement to EFE as "the secret and flavor of Latin music, very special to us."
