If you're looking for an interesting trip to Silesia with children, be sure to visit the Silesian Planetarium in Chorzów, located in the heart of the Silesian Science Park. It's a place where science meets fun, and both children and adults can discover fascinating phenomena of our planet and the cosmos. In this video, I show: ⭐ an interactive geophysics exhibit ⭐ an earthquake simulation ⭐ how volcanoes and atmospheric phenomena are formed ⭐ a Tesla coil and lightning demonstration ⭐ climate zones ⭐ the opportunity to play the role of a weather forecaster ⭐ a projection of the planets of the Solar System on a spherical screen ⭐ a flight into space in a special capsule ⭐ a show in the planetarium dome – we watched a journey to Mars The Planetarium features two permanent exhibitions: 🔬 Geophysics – phenomena occurring on Earth 🌌 Astronomy – space and the Solar System The exhibitions are available in both an extended tour and a shorter version for children. The Planetarium is located in Silesian Park, where you can also walk, take the Elka cable car, or visit the nearby Legendia amusement park. The building also features: ☕ bistro 🧥 free cloakroom 🔐 lockers for personal belongings 🚗 parking next to the planetarium The planetarium also hosts temporary exhibitions – currently, you can see my husband's astrophotography exhibition, which has won international awards.
