Defender 90 Td5 Roof Comes Finally Off / Dismantling Old Land Rover Continues / Slow TV Episode

Back with the work on hand. I try to find time between little one and day job to work on Defender. Luckily it's holiday season and progress is good. This video is a little bit longer, but I wanted to pass on the real struggle of looking behind every corner and try to understand the mechanics of the car. So there are this slow TV vibe for those who like it. Total time in real time was ca. 4 hours. Right hand side fender was puzzle to take off. First it was bent and second, the air intake was in my way as well. But on this side none of the bolts snapped with rust. Maybe because half of them were replaced after they have mended the fender. Who knows. Footwell is rusted trough. First real damage done by rust in this unit. Being 23 year old car, not bad. Roof bolts were all ok and came off easily. I missed 4 up where the seat belt was mounted. Rear door will not go back to this car. Most likely it knew this and was stubborn to leave the car. Even broke my torx head. Also wiring was a mess like all over the car. ROOF - Nice piece of Aluminium. I will try to recover the sunroof fyi. I wanted it to be two man lift, but I was too exited not to try by myself first. I reckon 2-3 more days like this and I can drive this badboy on my driveway final time before next steps.
