As already in "Italia Ultimo Atto", a "realist" type of narration is used, with passages conceived like as many snapshots of real facts or characters, known or anonymous, captured in the moments in which History is "happening", to try to grasp the essence of a spirit that dominates and encloses events and existences. The spirit we intend to evoke is that of Decadence. Notably how it manifested itself in European culture and arts before apocalyptic events known to all forever upset the physiognomy of the continent. A veritable gallery of ghosts, in which the ineffable European Canon returns to speak, today considered missing and little or no regret. Summoner of noble causes as well as ambiguous drifts, of Olympic beauties as of spleen suicides. Yet it contains us and summarizes us all. And its dispersion corresponds to our extinction. To address a subject that has haunted legions of illustrious predecessors, IANVA looks at the latter with greater clarity than in the past. Thus, to the usual sonic assault of his very Italian vintage soundtrack sound, he now marries the Central European and Motorik suggestions that formed the backbone of the first and best new wave and new romantic sorties.
