Hobie Outback and Santa Cruz Kayaks Stability in the Sloppy Ocean on the Oregon Coast
Tried to make a day of rock fishing off the Oregon coast in a not so nice day on the ocean. Made for a fun ride as Brian mentions but made for not so good fishing. We didn't dare get too close to the rocks that the rockfish like to hang around and we didn't want to venture offshore in the wind and swell and have the fog ceiling come down and block our entrance to the tiny bay where we launched. It has been a while since I've been in the Hobie Outback kayak, and it was good to get my feet wet again!
