It is said that one day, Goddess Purnagiri was getting dressed in her bedroom. Meanwhile, Baba Siddhnath suddenly entered the goddess's bedroom, enraging her. The goddess chopped Baba's body into pieces and threw it into the air. When the goddess realized that the person who had entered the bedroom was none other than her own devotee, she felt remorseful. She then blessed Baba, saying that after her darshan, only by visiting Baba Siddhnath will the devotees' journey and wishes be fulfilled.
