This talk will explain over 16 compelling features of the Backstage core platform which any company can use to build their internal developer portal. The talk will argue, why should companies use Backstage for their self-service IDP, even if they don't see the need for a catalog or templates and why Backstage platform is still better than a "homegrown" portal with enough flexibility and control.
