This is how Laura's speech as structured at the ribbon cutting, so maybe since we've got the song added at the end of the video we could cycle through a series of Thank yous to our various categories of partners shown below... Let me know what you think... Equity Partners A group of individuals believed in this vision early and backed it with real investment, many of them also lending their own hands to the project’s design, development, and construction along the way. Incentive Partners This extraordinary project required an extraordinary series of partnerships and incentives to achieve feasibility. The City of Hutchinson, the State Historic Preservation office (SHPO), the Kansas Housing Resources Corporation (KHRC), and the Kansas Department of Commerce all participated in multiple incentive partnerships to make this project possible. Financing Partners First National Bank of Hutchinson is the primary lender on the project, with additional financing provided by Nebraska Bank of Commerce (Lincoln, NE). Development Partners This project would not exist without Historic Preservationist, Brenda Spencer (Spencer Preservation) and Co-Developer, Justin Pregont (Pomeroy Development). From the very beginning, they stood alongside Laura Meyer-Dick as true development partners, helping shape the vision, navigate the complexity of a project this size, and carry it all the way through construction. Their leadership was as essential to bringing The Meyer Landmark back to life as any brick or beam in the building itself, and they deserve a huge thank-you. Design Partners Engineering Consultants, Tesserre Architecture, and Jenny Maschler, who led interior selections and design, shaped the building from structural bones to finished details. Construction Partners MBC Construction served as general contractor on a project that took tens of thousands of labor hours, from demolition to framing, plumbing to painting, trim carpentry to stained glass restoration, and everything in between. Advance Pest Control, Miller Earthworks, Meitler Concrete, Restoration & Waterproofing, Finestone Inc., Southwest Stucco, Jeff Jirak Carpentry, Wray Roofing, Sturgeon Glass, MBC Restoration & Roofing, C&W Drywall, Maas Painting, MBC Flooring & Design, Sunrise Elevator, Heritage Fire Sprinkler, Elite Services, Kruse Corp, Zenor Electric, Midwest Steel, Woodwork Mfg., Pioneer Materials, Ward Davis, Czarnecki Building Supply, Ideatek, Ready Link, Freshco…and many more who played a vital role in bringing this project together!. Tenant Partners The Meyer Landmark’s ground floor will welcome Giuseppe’s Family Restaurant, Salt City Scoops, and The Lantern Speakeasy. Two weeks after opening, more than 25 of the building’s 36 apartments are already leased, with more residents moving in every week. Marketing Partners New Inspiration Media and Plaid Moose Creative helped tell the Landmark’s story to the community. As well as Prairie Nation Creative and New Inspiration Media filming for the project’s documentary. Inspiration Partners This project carries the memory of Laura Meyer-Dick’s father, whose legacy set it in motion, along with the support of her family throughout. The Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber of Commerce also stood behind the vision from early on.
