Eva Simpson - BSCB PhD Raff Medal Talk 2026
Congratulations to Eva Simpson at the University of Nottingham for winning the BSCB's 2026 PhD Raff Medal! The BSCB Raff Medal PhD award was established in 2020 to recognise a PhD student who have made an outstanding contribution cell biology in the UK or Ireland. The medal has been named after Professor Martin Raff who was the president of BSCB from 1992-1995. Eva delivered the talk titled "The Chromosome Periphery is an Essential Component of oocyte Chromosomes" at the Dynamic Cell VI conference on 23 April 2026, hosted by the BSCB and the Biochemical Society.
