Scotland NC500 The Applecross Pass Bealach na Ba - The Pass of the Cattle Driving up and over the notorious and exciting Applecross Pass. In Gaelic it's known as Bealach na Ba, which means pass of the cattle. Approaching from the West, just outside Applecross, we ascend up to an altitude of 626m (2054 feet) almost into cloud.
