Constipation is also a major symptom Constipation is very important factor because of the relation of gut and brain, gut can also be called as a second brain. A bacteria in the gut which produces a protein called alpha synuclein and aggregation of these protein in the brain is the main focus of treating Parkinson’s. The treatment aspect of Parkinson’s is mainly based on this gut brain relationship. In Ayurveda this concept is addressed as “Agni”, the digestive fire. These are of two levels, one is at the macro level ( digestive function of the stomach) and the other at the micro level (cell metabolism). After the correction of these two, panchakarma or rejuvenation treatment is started. Panchakarma or rejuvenation treatment will depend upon various factors- age of the patient, cronicity of the disease, severity of the disease and nature of the patient. Main purpose of treatment: There are three main purpose for the treatment of Parkinson’s. 1. To slow down the progression of the disease. 2. Minimize the symptoms. 3. Stabilize the condition of the patient with minimum dosage of medicines. Success Rate of Parkinson’s Treatment. Usually we can expect 20 to 30 % improvement from the current condition and according to the patient’s condition it may go up to 50%.
