TERROR IN BERLIN – Police confirm: Suspected Christopher Street Day attacker killed in Spandau! The suspect in the attack in the Tiergarten park was shot dead during a police operation in Berlin-Spandau. Berlin police confirmed the death of the 21-year-old. The special operations unit confronted the man around 6 p.m. in a community garden. According to police, the suspect ran towards the officers with a bladed weapon. The officers shot him. Paramedics attempted to resuscitate the critically wounded man. He died at the scene. The public prosecutor's office has been informed. Police have launched a death investigation. The investigation into the attack is also ongoing. The man is said to have driven a Citroën into the Tiergarten park. There, he allegedly drove towards people. According to witnesses, he then got out of the car and threatened people with a machete. He then fled. The 21-year-old is also alleged to have rented the van that was planned to be used in a terrorist attack on Christopher Street Day. How the police located the man is still unknown.
