The Hui O Hula celebrated their 7th Anniversary in Leisure World, Seal Beach, Southern California, USA. Leisure World is a retirement community for senior citizens, but you would never guess it from the action of the dancers. One of the dancers is 88 years young.This video clip shows E Huli Makou, Green Rose, Yellow Ginger Lei and Hi'ilawe Hula. The last video clip, Hi'ilawe has 3 windows, representing 3 different times the same dance was performed. Each dance movement is slightly different, as the dancers are in different positions with different persons at their sides. Kaye Huff does the introductions. Jojo is the Kumu for the group and narrator of the dances. The current members and the alumni were invited to dance together. Many of the dancers are members of the Leisure World retirement community.
