Yamaha Bass Drum to Floor Tom conversion
Today I converted my Yamaha Maple Custom bass drum into a floor tom. It was super simple using some DW Claw Clamps (DWSM2141) and some spare PDP legs (DW ones almost seemed to big but also work). I'm super excited to experiment with this setup! Tom sizes are: 6", 8", 10", 12", 13", 14", 15", 16". Bass Drums are 22x16, 22x18 and 18x14 (now a floor tom) and snares are 12x3, 14x4, 14x5.5, 14x6.5. Cymbals are all Sabian, mostly AAX Metal series, some specialty and some HH. Drum heads are all Evans. Primarily G2 for all the toms, HD Dry for the snares, GMAD for the bass drums. I'm happy to answer any and all questions you may have! Thank you for watching!
