The background of this is that my wife and I (who are both Nigerians) moved to Canada from the UK only last December. This had always been our dream country since we both left Nigeria in 2022. As with everything in life, there is the good and the bad, so as we love it here with everything in our soul, there are a few things about the UK that made us feel more at home than here. Maybe it’s because of the proximity that some things are culturally more familiar in the UK than here. I sit here with my wife to share as there are many people who have and are willing to make the same migration as we did. Once again, we have no regrets as the good far outweighs the bad.
