CFD simulations on a centrifugal pump in Ansys coupling 2 way FSI in Fluent and Transient Structural
Turbomachinery is considered one of the toughest engineering designs. The numerical modeling of this type of designs is also complicated. To accurately simulate the effect of the solid parts and the fluid domain on each other, the two way coupling (Data Transfer) (Fluid Solid Interface) method is used in ANSYS. This video shows the detailed procedure of simulating the flow field and the structural analysis in Fluent and transient structural.
