Miyapur Cross Roads and the congestion near the bus stop | Cycle To Work - Week 112 - Day 3

Today at Miyapur Crossroads, the entire stretch near the bus stop was so congested that buses had no space to move to the left — all the way until the right-most lane. Not something I see every day, but since it showed up clearly in today’s ride, I wanted to share a thought. After riding this route for almost 3 years, I’ve developed a habit of checking for buses behind me and clearing space so they can move left towards the stop. But many times, despite my hand signals, other vehicles rush to the left of the bus or squeeze me out — making it impossible for the bus to reach the stop. The result? Buses are forced to halt in the middle lane, which blocks everyone and creates even more chaos. If we simply allow buses their space to move left, boarding and deboarding becomes safer, traffic flows smoother, and the whole stretch becomes less stressful. What do you think?
