Guru Sangyas Festival at Rarang || Kinnaur ||

Guru Sangyas festival is being celebrated every year in Rarang village of district kinnaur. This festival is held in tribute to Padmasambhava (also known as Guru Rinpoche), the venerated eight century Buddhist master from India. This festival is being celebrated at state level . We can see holy 8 manifestations of Guru PAdamsambhava . Many religious and cultural rituals are performed in this festival. The best example of Hinduism and Buddhism syncretism can be seen in this festival. Devta Pathoro Dombar ( village deity) also participate in this festival and take blessings from Guru Padamsambhava . Cultural and traditional performances are also there . Different forms Cham dance by the monks and Singhe (white lion ) dance which depicts the Tibetan culture in India .
