With his guitar strumming and soft-voiced singing style, musician João Gilberto inaugurated a new sound and created bossa nova. With the poetic lyrics of Vinicius de Moraes and the sophisticated melody of Tom Jobim, bossa nova conquered the world as a rhythm celebrated to this day, both within and outside the country. In the month that the father of the movement passed away, Caminhos da Reportagem shows that the musical genre goes far beyond the creations of its "holy trinity" and continues to renew itself with each generation. Now, 60 years after the genre's creation, there is still much to tell about Bossa Nova.
