Wat Sunthrikawas - Wat Pa Mai Wat Sunthrikawas is located at 92 Ban Pa Mai, Chidwana Road, Mae Sot Subdistrict, Mae Sot District, Tak Province. It is a temple of the Tai Yai people, built around 1904 when Mr. Mong Seng Sae Kwa (ancestor of the Kwa family) built a prayer hall, a multipurpose hall, and a monks' residence, along with donating almost 7 rai of land to establish the temple. Originally named "Wat Toya Mai," it was later renamed "Wat Sunthrikawas" in 1940, but villagers commonly refer to it as "Wat Pa Mai" after the village name. Wat Sunthrikawas received its royal charter on October 20, 1974. The temple houses an important vihara and Buddha images. "Phra Maha Mya Muni" (the Enlightened One) is invoked to provide spiritual power and protection, ensuring everyone's safety, abundance, prosperity, good health, wisdom, and longevity.
