Case Information 1: On June 20, 2019, the Lai Chau Provincial Police received a report from the Phong Tho District Police stating: Around 7:00 PM on June 20, 2019, local residents discovered Ms. Phan San May, born in 1951, residing in Lung Than village, Mu Sang commune, Phong Tho district, dead in her family's field. After investigation, on June 27, 2019, the Special Task Force arrested the perpetrator, Phan Lao Lo, while he was crossing the border back into Vietnam. After many hours of interrogation, along with irrefutable evidence, Phan Lao Lo confessed to his actions: Around 5:00 PM on June 20, on his way home from the fields, Lo saw Ms. May walking alone to her family's field hut and decided to kill her for revenge. Case Information 2: On the morning of November 26, 2019, people visiting a coffee plantation in hamlet 6, Tan Lam commune, Di Linh district, Lam Dong province discovered a severely decomposed corpse suspected to be female and reported it to the police. Immediately after receiving the report, authorities arrived at the scene to investigate and search for the perpetrator. The suspect was identified as Nguyen Phuoc Chau. At the police station, Chau confessed to his crimes. While asking to buy land, Chau and the victim, Doan Thi Huynh Giao, had a conflict. Chau used a wooden stick to hit his girlfriend's head, then he accidentally picked up a sharp knife in a coffee tree root and stabbed her repeatedly, causing the victim to collapse. After confirming that Ms. Giao was dead, Chau took all the earrings, rings, gold necklaces, and mobile phone from the victim, and escaped on a motorcycle.
