Alla Stazione di Modica i Blues tornano a correre!

Hello everyone, and Merry Christmas! As some of you may know, Trenitalia's Blues trains have caused problems on some Italian regional lines because they were designed to be incompatible with short-radius curves. These lines have suffered the consequences, too often and with impunity labeled "secondary" because they were never rectified. In Sicily, the lines on the Syracuse-Gela-Caltanissetta and Catania-Caltagirone lines have been shut down for some time. Excessive wear on the wheel flanges occurred while passing through a tight curve due to the excessive distance between the train's bogies (i.e., each wheel-suspension-brake assembly), which generated significant friction. However, temporary fixes have been found, and we hope that such drastic service interruptions will not occur next year. Thank you all, see you next time, and happy holidays! 🙂🎄! 00:00 R 12916 Syracuse-Ragusa 03:10 R 12937 Ragusa-Syracuse
