Roseacre Resilience Hub

WATCH THIS! Check out young people from Roseacre Primary Academy taking the lead in making their school more resilient. Young people from Roseacre’s Resilience Committee have been working hard with members of staff and the HeadStart team to develop an innovative project, which they hope will provide pupil’s at the school with a safe space to go when they need to relax, unwind or seek support from their friends or members of staff. 9 months ago this was just an idea, but the pupil Resilience Committee have been determined to make it happen. They have highlighted a need, found a space in school, bid for funding through the HeadStart School Innovation Fund, designed and kitted out the space and had training to become Junior Resilience Coaches so they can be on hand to support their peers. The Roseacre Primary Academy Hub’s grand opening was last week and the HeadStart team went along to see how they’d been getting on.
