Organized Noize on Sleepy Brown Using Curtis Mayfield's Style, Curtis Co-Signing It
During a recent sit-down with VladTV, legendary hip-hop production group Organized Noize spoke about going hard to be accepted in hip-hop by finding breaks and loops no one had. They also shared how the singer Pebbles fought for them to get a deal with L.A. Reid, who admittedly didn't know much about the hip-hop scene. Moving along, Organized Noize spoke about Curtis Mayfield giving them props for using his influence in Outkast song, which came up while they were working on the singer's last album.
