Visiting the Hua Kee Kelong | Malaysian Fishing Village

Before the COVID-19 MCO, we embarked on a short journey by speedboat across the Johor Strait to a Malaysian Fishing Village, called a 'kelong'. We spend our 2D1N trip at the Hua Kee Kelong, with many accommodations, including fishing spots, karaoke entertainment rooms, pool tables, air-conditioned hotel rooms, and food. There are TONS of fish at the kelong, which is why many people come from all around Malaysia and Singapore to do fishing (Groupers, Red Snappers). Hua See Kelong is a fishing hotspot and they also provide seafood as well as boat trips to get to the Kelong. Also, the fish and produce go directly to their restaurant just around 10km away in Gelang Patah, Hua Kee Kelong Seafood (华记奎笼海鲜饭店), where crabs, fish, squid and many more are served.
