A Truck Driver’s Nightmare Day

My week didn’t exactly get off to a great start. After my usual truck was delayed following a service, I had to jump into a different vehicle and get on with the job. Not long into the shift, I discovered part of my load had come loose in the trailer, forcing me to return to the depot. Things only got worse from there. Bad weather shut the depot down, leaving me stuck waiting for around five hours. By the time I got moving again, I was massively behind schedule, and when I finally reached my delivery point, they couldn’t unload me. With goods still on board, parking options became limited, and I had to find a secure service area with CCTV before running out of duty time. Add in some very tight country roads and a few complaints from people who clearly didn’t understand the situation, and it turned into one of those days where nothing seemed to go right.
