Drs. Ghobrial and Nadeem discuss the phase 2 CAR-PRISM trial

At AACR 2026 in San Diego, Irene Ghobrial, MD, a professor of medicine at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute; and Omar Nadeem, MD, a medical oncologist at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and an assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School, discuss the abstract titled, "BCMA-directed CAR T-cell Therapy May Be Effective Against High-risk Smoldering Multiple Myeloma." The study showed that a single infusion of ciltacabtagene autoleucel (cilta-cel; Carvykti) led to a 100% MRD-negativity rate in patients with high-risk smoldering multiple myeloma, according to results from the phase 2 CAR-PRISM trial.
