Leucemia linfoblástica aguda: Síntomas y diagnóstico

Learn all about acute lymphoblastic leukemia from Dr. Óscar González Llano, a leading hematologist and member of Top Doctors https://www.topdoctors.mx/doctor/Osca... Acute lymphoblastic leukemia is the most common childhood cancer; 1 in 3 children with cancer have the disease. The symptoms of lymphoblastic leukemia are very varied. In general, one can say that the most important are those related to the patient's anemia. Most children with this disease have anemia. That is, they are pale, have little appetite, are tired, and don't feel like doing much activity. They often have a fever. However, the fever experienced by patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia is usually a long-term fever. It's not the conventional fever of any infection that lasts 3 or 4 days and ends. Instead, a patient may experience fever at various times of the day for 1 or 2 weeks, in addition to the appearance of easy bruising or bleeding from the nose or mouth. Another important symptom of leukemia is bone pain. This pain is usually significant and increases as the days go by. When one or more of these symptoms appear, the doctor will perform a test called a blood count.
