Whats the Difference between a VND and VND/PL

VND: https://bit.ly/3Rkfn7H VND/PL: https://bit.ly/4liG61a What’s the difference between a VND and a VND/PL? Both filters reduce light, but they affect your image in different ways. In this video, we break down when to use a standard Variable ND and when to use a Variable ND + Polarizer. A standard VND is the most consistent option when you need to match multiple camera angles, keep color uniform, and avoid changing the polarization of your image. The VND/PL adds polarization, giving you more control over reflections, glare, skies, water, and surface detail, while also offering strong neutral color accuracy. The tradeoff is consistency. If you’re shooting with multiple cameras at different angles, each VND/PL may polarize light differently, which can make matching shots harder in post. For single-camera photo or video work, the VND/PL gives you more creative control. For multi-camera production, the standard VND is usually the safer choice. In this video: • What a VND does • What a VND/PL does differently • Why polarization matters • When to use each filter • Which option is better for single-camera vs. multi-camera shoots
