Flying with Chrigel Maurer: One day coaching with the Red Bull X-Alps champion

Cross Country magazine joins Chrigel Maurer for a day of one-to-one intensive paragliding coaching... What makes Chrigel Maurer one of the greatest paraglider pilots of all time? Is it his consistency? His skill? His attitude to risk? His training? The fact he's won the Red Bull X-Alps three times, has been Swiss Paragliding Champion multiple times, and was even Swiss Hang Gliding Champion in 2007 shows Chrigel to be one of the most complete pilots in the sport. Based in Interlaken, Switzerland, with access to the European Alps on his doorstep, Chrigel now offers one-day intensive coaching on around 10 days a year. Using techniques he's learnt throughout his ten year competition career, he takes a bespoke look at a pilot's flying skill and mental attitude to create a unique programme of high-level instruction specifically for that pilot.
