Teacher (A-class) vs. CASEO (A-class) [Competitive Karuta Rules] Each player places 25 cards from the 100 cards in their own area (own side). When a card is recited from the table, the first player to touch or remove it from the table (own side) wins. When a card is taken from their own area (own side), they lose one card. When a card is taken from their opponent's area (opponent's side), they "send one card to their opponent's area and one card from their own area" (opponent's side), effectively losing one card from their own area. ・The first player to reduce their side to 0 cards wins. (Failure) ・A "failure" occurs when you touch a card when a card not in play is recited, or when you touch a card in a different side from the side containing the recited card. ・Failure results in a penalty of "your opponent sending you a card." This means "your side gains one card and your opponent loses one card," resulting in a net difference of two cards.
