To get ready… Preheat your oven to a hot 200C/220C fan forced, you’ll need a round cutter. 2. To make the dough… sieve the flour onto a work bench. Add the salt and sugar and make a well using your hand. 3. To make the dough… combine the cream and milk together. Pour a small quantity of the liquid into the well and use a pastry scraper to cut the liquid into the dough. 4. Be light with your fingers and try not to overwork the dough but you are looking for a dough that is moist and pliable. 5. To roll the scones… lightly dust the workbench and lift the dough to ensure it is not sticking to the bench. Use clean hands to gently press the dough down with your fingers, you are trying to flatten the dough into a thick square shape. turn the dough and pat out to a thickness of about 3 cm. 6. To cut the scones… use a 50 mm diameter cutter to cut scones out of the dough. 7. To re roll the dough… once you have cut your scones you can re-roll the dough once more. 8. To bake… bake in the oven for about 12-15 minutes until they are golden on the bottom and top. 🧁 Want more recipes like this?
