古民家を訪ねて その24 東京都清瀬市・旧森田家住宅

The old house we are visiting today is the former home of the Morita family, located in the Shimojuku Community Center in Kiyose, Tokyo. 　　The Morita family is thought to have settled in Noshio in the late 16th century (early Edo period), and is an old family that served as village headmen during the late Edo period. This is a valuable old house that conveys the culture of Musashino, and is characterized by its long thatched roof and long corridor. Inside the house, various tools used by people in the past are on display, and the painting of a horse will make you smile.
