Plywood Tool Chest pt.14 - Making sliding trays @Cravenconservation #toolchest #woodworking #craft

In Part 14 we make the sliding trays/tills for the tool chest. A deep lower tray to store larger tools and tool rolls, and a shallower upper tray for easy access of regularly used smaller tools. The tool chest project is now nearing completion. You have a sturdy mobile method of tool storage to protect your valued hand tools. As woodworkers, we want our tools at hand, this can often mean putting them on the wall. This can also result in rust and corrosion. Now we will make the sliding trays to keep your most used tools safe and ready to use. I talk you through designing the best layout of drawers and dividers. Fitting the trays is a really fun part of the project as it turns the empty carcass in to a highly usable tool chest, with your tools organised and protected from damage and humidity. You can be creative with the layout and novel storage ideas. Then you can fill it with your tools ready to use them to make more objects. #workshop #handtoolwoodworking #woodwork #toolchest #toolstorage #crafts #woodworking #woodworker
