PFC Raymond Warren, Silver Star recipient was laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery 4/13/2021
On Tuesday, April 13, 2021 PFC Raymond Warren, a Silver Star recipient was laid to rest in Section 31 of Arlington National Cemetery. Thru the efforts of ‘History Flight’ and DPAA [ Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency ] Marine Corps Reserve Pfc. Raymond Warren, 21, of Silverdale, Kansas, killed during World War II, was accounted for on June 10, 2019. PFC Raymond Warren was awarded the Silver Star for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action while serving with the Third Battalion, Eighth Marines, SECOND Marine Division against enemy Japanese forces on Tarawa Atoll, Gilbert Islands on November 20, 1943.
