Ka-Bar Combat Kukri: Initial Impressions and a Comparison Test
Trying an experiment in functional performance comparisons, and without doing much of anything with it beforehand, I put my new Ka-Bar Combat Kukri up against a pair of contenders: A Nepal-made GK&Co "Police" Kukri and the Becker BK9. Spoiler Alert: Something unexpectedly bad happens to one of them. Semi-final thoughts (for now): The Ka-Bar is a surprisingly good "slicer" but not such a good "chopper". After handling it a bit more, I'll do a follow-up regarding its potential as a "martial" knife. Let me know what you think of these side-by-side tests, and maybe I'll do some more (preferably when it's not 37 degrees F outside).
