In this video I take the time to go a little deeper with the recent news that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt sold 65 million copies to date. The impressive sales tell us a lot about the kind of game that appeals to the modern audience, especially when we take a deeper dive on other games that sell just as well or better. They tell a different story about the kind of games that matter in the games industry, than you might expect when listening to voices that cover videogames full time. I take the time consider why that might be and why it only makes sense that games that fit the scale and scope of The Witcher 3 keeping getting made, despite the prevalence of those voices in today's coverage.
