Inert Atmosphere
This video shows how to exclude oxygen and water from a reaction flask, by using inert atmospheric techniques. These include flame drying the flask, and adding reagents via dry syringes under a balloon of nitrogen gas. It is important to note that the focus of this video was on the techniques, and reactive materials were not actually used. Gloves should be worn while dispensing actual reactive reagents. This video can be used with the free downloadable laboratory textbook found at: https://organiclabtechniques.weebly.com/
