*As of April 2016, tuition fees for the JRA Racing School were partially waived, from 2.1 million yen to 1.2 million yen, with only meals covered. I was referencing old data. I sincerely apologize. This means that students can now attend for the same tuition as a three-year public high school, rather than a private one... but since it's not an educational institution, subsidies probably won't be available. I started out intending to lightly touch on current events, but as I was making the video, I started thinking, "Huh? Maybe it's like this?" and it ended up being this long... In the end, the times and the horse racing industry are changing so rapidly that the Racing School can't keep up... but there's nothing anyone on the ground can do about it... It feels like not only the Racing School, but policies in the name of fair horse racing are strangling everyone... I'd appreciate your comments.
