Feng Chen Wang SS26 show, Paris Fashion Week
We arrive at the intersection of memory and modernity, where Feng Chen Wang unveils her Spring/Summer 2026 collection: a deeply personal and poetic ode to nature, craftsmanship, and identity. As the brand enters its second decade, this season marks not a conclusion, but a bold new beginning - one rooted in emotional resonance and fearless experimentation. This season sees modernisation of Feng’s interpretation of contemporary tailoring. A Dialogue with Nature: Innovation in Craft At the heart of the collection is a renewed dialogue with the natural world. In collaboration with skilled artisans, Feng Chen Wang continues her use of the botanical dyeing technique that involves pressing fresh leaves onto 45cm-wide handwoven cotton using high-temperature methods. The result is fabric that bears the ghostly imprint of flora - each leaf transferring its shape and color, making every piece wholly unique. Raw fabric edges are embraced, integrated into finishes that celebrate imperfection as artistry. The color palette draws from the earth: verdant greens - including Feng’s signature bamboo leaf prints - meet soft pinks and warm beige tones. These hues evoke both stability and rebirth, forming garments that feel lived-in and full of memory. In contrast, nylon garments are reimagined with hand-sprayed dyeing techniques that create mottled textures and layered blues reminiscent of open skies. These pieces embody a modern duality: urban precision blended with outdoor ease, mirroring the movement between past experience and future ambition. A focus of this season is the functionality of the pieces, which have been styled to showcase this. Suit silhouettes are reimaged with light weight fabrics and pleat structures. For the first time, plaid enters the Feng Chen Wang universe, offering structured silhouettes through architectural 3D tailoring. Knits have been produced with unconventional yarn weaving techniques, pushing the boundary between natural tactility and design. A Future Rooted in Emotion This Spring/Summer collection is a celebration of the past and a vision of what’s to come. It revisits Feng Chen Wang’s foundational pillars - nature, craftsmanship, innovation - while charting a path toward ambiguity, emotional depth and radical openness. This collection radiates ease, confidence, freedom and connection, setting the tone for a new chapter in the brand’s evolving narrative. Lace emerges as a dedicated soft touch this season, striking a contemporary ying and yang balance, between strength, fluidity and stillness within the garments. #FengChenWangSS26 #ACraftOfEmotion #DecadeOfDuality Casting with Purpose: A Community on the Runway NBA player and longtime friend Russell Westbrook led the runway this season. Russell, the American professional basketball player, known for his explosiveness and intensity is credited as the greatest point guard in NBA history. The runway is also made up a mix of familiar and fresh faces, including actor Daniel Millar and models Kit Price and Calum Harper, alongside a diverse cast of models - half of whom were discovered through open calls, Their presence reflects Feng Chen Wang’s commitment to community, inclusivity, and authenticity - values that have shaped the brand’s journey over the past ten years.
