Introducing the Mazda CX-80, the CX-60's bigger brother, with a 25 cm longer wheelbase that offers up to seven seats and plenty of extra space on board. In addition to its generous space, the CX-80 features distinctive aesthetic refinements. The design, inspired by Mazda's signature styling principles, lends it a unique and aggressive identity, with a distinctive front and a long hood housing powerful engines, such as the 249 horsepower six-cylinder diesel or the 2005 four-cylinder plug-in hybrid variant. Inside, the CX-80 offers flexibility and comfort, with configuration options from one to seven seats. The second row can be equipped with a removable center table, while the third row offers two additional reclining seats. The interior, mirroring the styling of the CX-60, features enhancements, including a dark interior paint option, as well as advanced technologies such as infotainment systems compatible with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Amazon Alexa. The CX-80's advantages aren't limited to interior space. With a cargo capacity of up to 687 liters, the trunk offers practical solutions, such as a 220V household socket and air conditioning vents. The diesel and hybrid engines are highly capable, with towing capacities of up to 2,500 kg and safe driving dynamics supported by advanced driver assistance technologies, such as adaptive cruise control and pedestrian recognition. Furthermore, its competitive price, with a differential of approximately €8,000 compared to the CX-60, makes the CX-80 an attractive option in the market for cars with more than five seats. Mazda demonstrates a serious commitment to functional and quality products, aiming to meet the needs of space, comfort, and performance. For ride comfort, Mazda adopts a unique system called Kinematic Posture Control; this system uses gentle brake inputs on the inside of curves to limit body roll. The engine debuting under the hood of the new Mazda CX-80 is a 2.5-liter hybrid gasoline engine producing 372 hp and 500 Nm of torque. It pairs with a 17.8 kWh battery, providing an electric-only range of 53 km.
